sunday morning

 on my bike ride north of town yesterday morning i got to wondering what was at the end of this little side road. the lane had been graded and led to and over the rr tracks. this morning i tossed my camera in my back pack and headed north to explore.

 on the other side of the tracks the graded lane continued.

 i left my bike at the gate and set out on foot.

 these fields have been under water for most of the summer. it has been just in the last few weeks that the water has gone down and left this wonderful area to explore.

 there are a few drainage ditches that still held water. birds, and frogs, were everywhere.
